What is medicine music?
Medicine Music is a rediscovered concept that comes from the origins of art, when its main mission was to cure and not to accumulate money.
The function of art is not only to "entertain" or "distract." For us, it has a fundamentally re-creative function and this re-creation is an instrument of healing and a great help for the development of consciousness.

5th Medicine Music Festival
The 5th TAWA Medicine Music Festival will take place in the Huandar Community, Pisac District, Cusco, Peru, from August 15-17, 2025. We will continue to enjoy the support of the best national and international artists of this musical genre.
More than 15 hours of music created and performed by the best representatives
who have made melody a true path to consciousness.
We will enjoy three days of medicine music and wonderful encounters,
while students will be able to count on the budget to finance another year of studies.
At the first festival (2014), a seed was planted that soon bore abundant fruit: several festivals in different parts of the world continued the mission of spreading music as a healing art.
Help us make music a part of the transformation of our world.
Once again the power of music, medicine and service,
united to support the education of the students of our WIÑAYPAQ school
In addition to music, we will offer the following activities:
Various exhibitions
Workshops on agroecology, food, and recycling
Vegetarian food from the Pisaq region

Where and how
The Festival will be held this year at the Wiñaypaq School.
The school is located in the community of Huandar, Pisac, Peru.
HOW TO GET THERE
If you're coming from other countries, you'll first need to arrive in Lima, Peru, and then, by plane or bus, reach Cusco. Depending on where you're coming from, it's also possible to arrive directly to Cusco without going through Lima (e.g., there are direct flights from Bogotá to Cusco and Santiago del Chile to Cusco). Once in Cusco, you can take a taxi to Pisac (50 minutes) or take one of the buses to Pisac/Calca that depart from Puputi Street in Cusco.
Once you reach the Pisac bridge, you continue
by taxi or take a motorcycle taxi in the direction
San Salvador. After passing the community
from Huandar, you will find on the right side
a climb up the side of the mountain and a
sign that will say "Medicine Music Festival".
You've arrived!
Ask the mototaxi to get on and drop you off at
the door of the Wiñaypaq School, we will be
waiting for you there!
ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD
At the Festival, you can find vegetarian and local food starting at 11 a.m. There is no camping at the Festival site and we don't offer accommodation, but Pisac has a wide range of accommodations (hostels, hotels, campsites). We don't have any specific accommodation recommendations, but Pisac is a very touristy area; you can search for more information on Google.
